摘要 <p>An air conditioner has a refrigeration cycle having a compressor for compressing refrigerant, a heat radiator for dissipating the heat of the refrigerant, a pressure reduction unit for reducing the pressure of the refrigerant, and an evaporator for absorbing the heat of the refrigerant. The air conditioner generates conditioned air from air having passed through the evaporator. The air conditioner further has a recognition unit for recognizing the low-pressure-side refrigerant pressure of the refrigeration cycle, a detection unit for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant at the exit of the heat radiator, and a control section for controlling the pressure reduction unit based on a target system pressure value. The control section calculates, based on the low-pressure-side refrigerant pressure recognized by the recognition unit, a high-pressure-side first target pressure value required for appropriate operation of the compressor, calculates, based on the temperature of the refrigerant at the exit detected by the detection unit, a high-pressure-side second target pressure value required for highly efficient operation of the refrigeration cycle, and controls the pressure reduction unit with the higher one of the first and second target pressure values used as the target system pressure value.</p>
