<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillatory wave driving device wherein the production of unwanted oscillatory waves can be suppressed without great influence on the production of driving oscillatory waves regardless of the relation between the order of driving oscillatory waves and the order of unwanted oscillatory waves. <P>SOLUTION: Multiple grooves 1a radially extended from inside to outside are formed on one end face (upper face) of the vibrating body 1 of a vibration motor M. The portions of the vibrating body 1 between the grooves 1a form protrusions 1b brought into a rotor 3 under pressure. Each groove 1a is so formed that its depth ta varies along one sinusoidal curve. Each portion 1c with a groove 1a formed therein constitutes a portion where mainly bending vibration is caused. Since the depth ta of each groove 1a varies along one sinusoidal curve, the thickness tc of each portion 1c varies along one sinusoidal curve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
