<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium having at least an optical information recording layer, an underlayer and a printable label layer on a substrate, wherein an application liquid has satisfactory handling properties upon manufacture and gives no adverse influence on information recording and reproduction even though there are high coloring properties, and which is hardly damaged and has excellent glossiness and excellent water resistance after print and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the information recording medium having at least the optical information recording layer, the underlayer and the printable label layer on the substrate, the printable label layer is formed by applying and drying the printable label layer application liquid containing at least alumina or an alumina hydrate mainly, a monovalent organic acid, a polyvinyl alcohol and a boron compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
