PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality management by early detection and to reduce cost concerning inspection by reducing time required to inspect a display defect that will not occur unless used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel inspection method for inspecting a display defect of a liquid crystal panel in a liquid crystal display device making a display by reversing polarity applied to pixels for each frame, comprises: a process (a) for changing the electric field applied to a plurality of pixels in a predetermined display area of the liquid crystal panel, for each frame; and a process (b) for inspecting the display defect of the liquid crystal panel after the process (a). The process (a) includes a step of applying the electric field of positive polarity to the plurality of pixels in the predetermined display area in one of (a-1) odd-numbered and even-numbered frames. The process (a) further includes a step of applying the electric field of zero to the plurality of pixels in the predetermined display area in the other frame of the frames.
