PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a lifetime of a weld zone of a high-temperature apparatus, capable of evaluating fatigue damage and also evaluating a lifetime of a weld zone of a high-temperature apparatus more precisely than that evaluated by the conventional technology, in consideration of changes in stress caused by creep deformation in the damage process of a creep damage. SOLUTION: The evaluation cross section of the weld zone of a major portion is set to the creep damage and average stress to this evaluation cross section of the weld zone is calculated from each load (110). Then, the creep damage of the evaluation cross section of the weld zone is calculated by the calculated average stress, so that the strength of the creep is evaluated (111).
