A display apparatus 100 comprises: a display surface 102, having at least a first flexible region 104 preferably disposed on the periphery of the display surface 102; one or more first sensors 106 for sensing a first change in curvature of the first region 104; and a display controller 110 operable to change information displayed on the display surface 102 from a first page content to a second page content in response to the first change in curvature. One or more second sensors may also be provided for sensing a change in curvature of a second flexible region of the display surface 102, whereby the display controller 110 changes the information displayed from the second to the first page content. The display apparatus 100 may be a flexible e-paper device such as an electrophoretic display, and the sensors 106 may detect changes in resistance or capacitance. The orientation of the page content may be changed based on signals received by the display controller 110 from an orientation sensor. |
