A method of addressing an extension device of a mobile telecommunication system comprises the step of assigning an address for the extension device by the mobile station. The extension device is devoid of a subscriber identifier. The mobile telecommunication system comprises a core network and a mobile station. The mobile station is connected to the core network and to the extension device.
