A water-cooled heat dissipation device for a notebook computer includes a pad or stand 1 with an air through-hole 11, a finned heat sink 23, a water cooling circuit 24 passing through the heat sink, and a fan 21 to blow cool air across the fins of the heat sink. The heat sink is fixed below the air through-hole of the pad or stand with a U-shape plate or bracket 22, and the fan is also mounted on top of the heat sink by means of this same bracket. In use, a notebook computer is put on the pad or stand, conducting heat from the notebook computer to the heat sink. A water pump 25 circulates cooling water through the heat sink 23 via metal tubing 24 and air blown out by the fan 21 passes around the fins to cool the computer rapidly. The stand may also have a USB connection and the water pump and fan may be powered from the USB port of the notebook computer. |
