A system for providing navigation service in Korean and a providing method of the service are provided to supply the map information in Korean even through a user uses the navigation service in oversea. A system for providing navigation service comprises a service server(300), and a navigation unit(200). The service server provides the map information per countries and the Korean matching data according to the each country. The navigation unit downloads the map information per countries and Korean matching data according to the each country from the service server. The navigation unit translates the language information, without the Korean matching data, in Korean. The navigation unit provides the navigation function using the translated language information and the Korean matching data.
