POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS FOR A COMPRESSOR

A power transmission device of a compressor is provided to move a ball from a pulley bonding groove to a separating part when rotation of a central axis of the compressor is stopped and use the compressor only by mounting the ball between the pulley bonding groove and a combining groove. A power transmission device of a compressor includes a pulley(30), a hub(36), a ring assembly(40), and a ball(B). The pulley is rotated by a driving force transmitted from an engine and has a pulley bonding groove(32a) formed in one side thereof. The hub is connected to the central axis of the compressor and transfers the driving force transmitted through the pulley to the central axis. The ring assembly has a ring combining groove(45) corresponding to the pulley bonding groove and transfer power between the pulley and the hub. The ball is located between the pulley and the ring assembly such that the pulley and the ring assembly rotate together.
