<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film in which curl-preventing measures not causing lowering of yield and productivity without causing occurrence of meandering and crease, breaking back and breakage during conveyance and rolling, particularly curl-preventing measures which are effective for both ends of the base material are taken after forming a hard coat layer or in the stage rolling finished optical film when the base material width becomes wide because of enlargement of size of the optical film or when the thickness of the base material is formed thinly because of formation of thin film and to provide a method for producing the optical film and to provide an image-displaying apparatus to which the method is applied. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the optical film comprising applying the hard coat layer onto one surface of long base of flat plate and applying a curl-preventing layer onto the other surface, the curl-preventing layer is each thickly applied to both ends in the width direction of the base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
