[Class 87 (ii)] The expelling means for a machine for extruding clay, soap, the contents of sausages, &c. comprises two pairs of intermeshing wheels 26, 27, 30, 31 rotating in the direction of the arrows and co-operating with arcuate walls of superposed chambers 24, 28 separated by a grid 32 to force the material towards outlets 36, 38 having removable dies 20 and smoothers 22. Smooth driven rollers 40 .. 43 may be employed to assist in the feeding of the material. An outlet 52 in the lower chamber 28 is connected to an exhausting-device to de-aerate the material. |
