An image display device and a system environment setting method are provided to reduce costs and time required for system environment setup by removing the necessity for special equipment and manpower. A system environment setting method of an image display device comprises the following steps. A broadcast signal of a specific channel, in which system environment setting data are included, is received(S20). The system environment setting data is extracted from the received broadcast signal(S30). System environments of the image display device is set up based on the extracted system environment setting data(S70). Result information about the system environment setting is displayed(S90). |
