<p>The protection device has a single piece covering (2) formed in U-shaped manner. The covering is mounted on a base component (4) in a pivoting manner. The covering is pivoted around a pivoting axis (6) from a base position in different protection positions. The covering and the base component are made of plastic. The U-shaped covering has reinforcing ribs at its both shank sections (20,21) to increase the tread load and bending strength of the covering such that the protection device forms a tread.</p> |
