A compressor is provided to display the operation of a motor such that a user confirms the operation of the motor with the naked eye. A compressor includes a power supply, a motor(21), a motor controller(22), and a motor display(23). The power supply receives AC voltage, transforms and rectifies the AC voltage. The motor receives power from the power supply and operates by the power. The motor controller drives or stops the motor according to information of the power supply, information of the motor or stroke information, determines whether the motor performs a protection operation or is in a poor state according to power information of the power supply or the motor or the stroke information and generates a control signal. The motor display displays the control signal when the motor controller transmits the control signal.
