A reciprocating piston type hydraulic pump is provided to reduce the pulsation, improve durability and make the structure simple compared to the conventional reciprocating piston type hydraulic pump. A reciprocating piston type hydraulic pump comprises a driving shaft(10) to which power is input; a crank(20) fixed to one side of the driving shaft; a piston cylinder(30) composed of a cylinder(31), a piston rod(32) and a piston(33), where the cylinder, the piston rod and the piston are located to face the driving shaft at an interval; a power transmission shaft(40) located between the crank and the piston cylinder; a universal coupling(50) connecting both sides of the power transmission shaft to the crank and the piston rod, respectively; and a housing(60) fixing the driving shaft and the piston cylinder.
