A method for managing a terminal ID number of a mobile communication terminal and a system thereof are provided to request a terminal ID number to a mobile communication terminal in which subscriber information is deleted when the subscriber information of the mobile communication terminal corresponding to an event is deleted and determine whether a terminal is normal through the received terminal ID number, thereby adjusting a load of a terminal ID number register. A method for managing a terminal ID number of a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps. If a preset event for managing a terminal ID number is received, it is determined whether subscriber information of a mobile communication terminal corresponding to the event exists. When the subscriber information of the mobile communication terminal does not exist, a terminal ID number is requested to the mobile communication terminal. The received terminal ID number is transmitted to a terminal ID number register to determine whether the received terminal ID number is normal.
