A method for removing scratch on a sealing surface of a machine component is provided to prevent the waste of machine component due to scratch by removing the scratch formed on the coating of the machine component easily. A method for removing scratch on a sealing surface of a machine component comprises a step in which a scratch removing roller(110) presses the sealing surface(11) of the machine component, and a step of moving the scratch removing roller relative to the sealing surface at the state where the scratch removing roller is in contact with the sealing surface of the machine component. The scratch removing roller removes scratch on the sealing surface by rotating while moving relative to the sealing surface.
