METHOD OF INSERTING PILOTS INTO A RADIO FRAME FOR CHANNEL ESTIMATION

A method for adding a pilot for estimating a channel is provided to improve channel estimation performance of a sub-frame without increasing an overhead by adding a pilot region to a wireless frame or increasing pilot density of a pilot region. A first additional pilot arranging process is performed to arrange a first additional pilot in a start symbol of a wireless frame. A second additional pilot arranging process is performed to arrange a second additional pilot in a symbol position adjacent to a last downlink sub-frame of the wireless frame. A preamble arranging process is performed to arrange a preamble within a downlink sub-frame adjacent to the first additional pilot. One symbol is arranged in each of the first additional pilot and the second additional pilot.
