<p>A multi air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to allow the user to recognize the level of liquid refrigerant inside the accumulator easily. A multi air conditioner comprises a plurality of indoor units(20a,20b,20c) and a plurality of outdoor units(10,10a). A plurality of outdoor units control the cooling-and-heating operation of the indoor units, and include electronic expansion valves(19,19a), accumulators(13, 13a), a sensor unit, and a controller. The electronic expansion valve controls the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing in from the outdoor unit. The accumulator extracts only gas refrigerant from the refrigerant supplied from the indoor unit. The sensor unit senses the level of liquid refrigerant inside the accumulator. The controller regulates the opening degree of the electronic expansion valve according to the signals from the sensor unit.</p> |
