FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to construction and may be used in repair of main pipelines. Method for field application of protective coat on repaired section of main pipeline consists in cleaning of external surface of main pipeline repaired section and its heating during further application of protective coat onto heated surface of pipeline, at that heating of pipeline external surface is carried out inside pipeline up to the temperature that exceeds dew point by at least 3C. ^ EFFECT: it makes it possible both to evenly heat all repaired section of main pipeline and to avoid moisture condensation on external surface of pipeline, which improves quality and reliability of protective coat application on external surface of main pipeline in the field conditions. ^ 9 cl
