An X-ray photographing apparatus having a rotary arm tilting function is provided to perform constantly an X-ray photographing process by aligning a cephalic center line of a patient and a vertical line of a rotary arm by operating a rotary arm tilting device. An X-ray photographing apparatus(100) having a rotary arm tilting function includes a base(110), a supporting pillar(120), an elevating member(130), a jaw supporting member(140), a rotary arm supporting member(150), a rotary arm(160), a rotary arm driving unit(170), and a tilting unit(180). The base supports an upper structure. The supporting pillar is installed on the base. The elevating member is moved vertically to the supporting pillar. The jaw supporting member is connected to a lower part of the elevating member. The rotary arm supporting member is connected at an upper portion of a front surface of the elevating member. The rotary arm is supported by the rotary arm supporting member. The rotary arm includes an X-ray light source part(163) and a sensor part(167). The rotary arm driving unit is inserted between the rotary arm and the rotary arm supporting member in order to drive the rotary arm. The tilting unit aligns a cephalic center line of the patient and a vertical line of the rotary arm when a cephalic part of the patient is inclined from the vertical line of the rotary arm.
