[Class 2 (iii)] Cylinders and / or pistons for use in hydraulic brake plant are prepared from reinforced synthetic resins which may contain a lubricant. Fig. 1 shows a combined water cylinder and fluid reservoir of an hydraulic brake system wherein the cylinder 3 is made of resin impregnated sheet material and the fluid reservoir 2 and the rest of the cylinder 1 is made of synthetic resin and a filler such as sawdust, shavings, cuttings, flakes or chips of fibrous material, the whole being moulded in one piece, a metal tube being inside the layer 3, if desired, where high pressures arc to be used ; Fig. 2 shows a wheel brake cylinder and piston assembly, the parts 9 and 12 being made of reinforced synthetic resin. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 refers to hydraulic pressure apparatus in general and includes a diagram of a lubricating pump. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
