An apparatus for sensing clogging of an air filter is provided to prevent inflow of contaminated air into an engine or indoor and noise and unnecessary vibration phenomenon and to remove unnecessary waste factors. A light emitting unit(130) is mounted on an air inlet side(I) of an air supply unit in which an air filter member(100) is installed. A sensor unit(150) is installed on an air outlet side(O) passing through the air filter member. The light emitting unit and the sensor unit are installed on a fixing casing(400) supporting an inner side of the air filter member. The fixing casing is comprised of an upper cover(401) and a lower cover(403). A terminal(410) transferring a detecting signal is installed on one side of the light emitting unit.
