VARIANT CODING AND BACK UP SOLUTION SYSTEM OF VEHICLE MODULE BY CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK AND METHOD THEREOF

A variant coding and backup solution system of a vehicle module using CAN communication and a variant coding and backup solution method thereof are provided to perform rewrite through a scanner by backing up information of a gateway in other module even though the gateway is damaged. An OBD(On Board) connector(10) performs connection for communication by a CAN communication line through an EOL(End Of Line) device. A gateway(20) receives a variant coding message when designing a vehicle and transmits a non-volatile message to each module of the vehicles. A BCM(Body Control Module)(30) separately stores the variant coding information inputted to the gateway and backs up the stored variant coding information when the gateway is damaged. An ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(40) is comprised of a plurality of units and controls the variant coding and backup.
