A rain visor and an operating method thereof are provided to operate a rain visor according to situations by controlling a motor in a MICOM by using signals transmitted from a rainwater sensor and a window sensor. A rain visor comprises: a rain visor member(110) inserted into and joined in a door frame of a vehicle; a driving part(130) having a motor for controlling the rain visor member; and a MICOM(140) controlling the driving part to control the rain visor member automatically according to the opening degree of a window in raining. The driving part comprises a manual controller(150) outputting signals to the driving part. The manual controller comprises: a manual switch(152) for converting into a manual mode so that a driver directly controls the rain visor member; and a control switch(154) controlling the appearing and disappearing degree of the rain visor.
