A method for manufacturing a color filter, the color filter, an image display device, and an electronic apparatus are provided to prevent deterioration or damage of a colored part by installing a protective layer for protecting the colored part. An amount of transmitted light is obtained at each cell(S109). The minimum transmitted light quantity that is a target transmitted light quantity is stored in a memory unit based on the transmission light quantity of each cell(S110). The transmitted light quantity is outputted at each cell(S111). The transmitted light quantity is compared with the target transmitted light quantity. A cell with the number of 1 is specified to the target correction cell(S113). The difference is obtained at the cell with the number of 1(S114). The difference and the cell number of 1 are stored in the memory unit(S115). The increment of a droplet number corresponding to the difference at the cell with the number of 1 is produced(S116). The correction data about the target correction cell is memorized in the memory unit(S119).
