<p>Provided is a gantry type working apparatus, which can be so deformed when transported as to reduce its occupation space and which can be easily restored. The gantry type working apparatus comprises a base unit and a work table unit. The base unit includes two beds juxtaposed in a first direction, a gantry frame arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and connected at its lower end portion to the two beds through turning means, and a working portion arranged on the gantry frame for operating a work. The work table unit includes a work table disposed between the two beds belonging to the base unit for holding the work, and a table bed for supporting the work table. The gantry type working apparatus is characterized in that it is enabled to perform a desired working operation on the work by changing the positional relations between the working portion and the work, and in that it can separate, at a nonworking time, the work table unit from the base unit and can narrow the spacing between the two beds while turning the gantry frame.</p> |
