The module (4) has a piston (41) for assuring the closing of an odor essence tank (40) in a position, and for discharging the odor essence in a horizontal conduit (44) in another position. A fan (42) forces the evacuation of the odor essence in the conduit towards the exterior of the module. The fan is located at an end of the conduit, and forces the evacuation of the odor essence towards another end (440) of the conduit. A control unit controls rotational speed of the fan. A surface of a head (412) of the piston is covered with an elastic layer (413). An independent claim is also included for an odor diffuser comprising a controller for controlling each of a set of removable odor diffusing modules.
