A pagewidth printhead includes a number of printhead segments. Each segment includes an array of nozzles. The array defines a first level grouping of a number of nozzles that are configured to print a common ink colour. A second level grouping includes a number of first level groupings of each colour to be printed by the segment. A third level grouping of a number of second level groupings incorporate nozzles configured to fire simultaneously. A fourth level grouping includes a number of third level groupings.
