PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamp pad which enables affixing of a clear-cut stamp by appropriately depositing a stamp ink or cinnabar oil on the stamping face of a stamp. SOLUTION: This stamp pad is obtained by ultrasonic fusion-bonding a stamp pad cover cloth 3 to a cover cloth attaching frame 5 with the help of an ultrasonic fusion-bonding machine. The ultrasonic fusion-bonding process is performed with the stamp pad cover cloth 3 inserted between a fusion-bonding protrusion arranged all around the circumference of the upper surface of the cover cloth attaching frame 5 and a sculptured effect engraved on the lower edge face of a horn of the ultrasonic fusion-bonding machine. In this invention, as the sculptured effect is engraved on the lower edge face of the horn of the ultrasonic fusion-welding machine, an unevenness is generated on the fusion-bonding surface, so that the fusion-bonding area is proportionately larger than otherwise. As a result, the fusion-bonding strength of the fusion-bonding surface of this invention is by far higher, compared with that of the flat fusion-bonding surface of the conventional stamp pad, and therefore, this stamp pad is free from a trouble such as easy peeling of the cover cloth 3 even by slight force.
