PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for effectively and flexibly utilizing a welding facility in a method of manufacturing a vehicle body and a welding facility by which multiple types of products can be welded. SOLUTION: This welding facility 10 comprises a sub welding line 12 for welding a panel member and a main welding line 13 to which the sub welding line 12 is converged. The panel member is combined with a skeleton member and welded to each other at a converged part 75 where the sub welding line 12 is converged to the main welding line 13. The main welding line 13 is composed of a plurality of welding stages 51, 55-59, 61 having welding robots 35L, 35R. A transfer mechanism 70 for transferring the panel member to any welding stage is installed at the outlet of the sub welding line 12.
