SOLUTION: In the washstand, the bottom surface of the wash basin 2 is installed in the cabinet 1, which has an upper opening 16 and in which a crosspiece 15 is disposed between both side plates 11a and 11b at the upper part of the front surface, so as to face the upper opening 16 and a gap A is formed between the cabinet 1 and the wash basin 2.
