PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus which makes it possible to confirm air bubbles by a fixed standard at all times without being affected by the conditions of surrounding brightness and accurately detect water leakage, in the endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus having a function of detecting the water leakage by injecting and pressurizing air inside an endoscope in the state of immersing the endoscope in liquid inside a washing tub and finding the air bubbles leaking out from the inside of the endoscope through a water leakage part to the outside by viewing. SOLUTION: In the endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus having a function of detecting water leakage by immersing an endoscope in liquid accumulated in a washing tub in the state of injecting a pressurized gas inside the endoscope and finding air bubbles leaking out from the inside of the endoscope through a water leakage part to the outside by viewing, an illumination means for illuminating the washing tub is provided.
