<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suturing needle capable of operating and controlling a suture material during surgical operation. <P>SOLUTION: A needle 26 is formed as a circular split ring having a gap 59, a sharp tip 60 and a dull end 62. The needle 26 further contains an opening part for housing the front end of the suture material and the opening part has the shape of a needle hole 64 which enables the passage of the front end of the suture material in order to attach the suture material to the needle 26. In the shown needle, the needle hole 64 is arranged in the vicinity of the dull end 62. However, the needle 64 can be arranged at any position along the arc between the top part 61 of the needle 26 and the dull end 62. In a preferable embodiment, the needle 26 contains the opening part having the shape of the columnar bore 66 arranged to the dull end 62 to be aligned with an axial direction with respect to the needle 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
