<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the uniformity of a screen by correcting mobility so as to meet the gradation of a video signal. <P>SOLUTION: A light scanner 4 has a shift register S/R and an output buffer 4B. For each stage of the shift register S/R, the shift register generates input signals IN and AZX in order in synchronization with line sequential scanning. The output buffer 4B connects each stage of the shift register S/R and each scanning line WS, and outputs a control signal to the scanning line WS according to the input signal IN, AZX. The shift register S/R changes, in at least two stages, the level of the input signal IN, AZX. The output buffer 4B changes the falling waveform of a control signal WS that specifies the timing of turning off a sampling transistor according to a level change of the input signal IN, AZX.
