<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector preventing instantaneous shutoff with a card in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The connector 10 is provided with a flat-plate housing 2, a plurality of contacts 3a, 3b, and a cover plate 4. The housing 2 is equipped with a concave part 20 for a card 1 to be inserted into. The plurality of contacts 3a, 3b, arranged in the housing, are connected with the card 1. The cover plate 4 covers the concave part 20. The contacts 3a, 3b are equipped with contact points 31a, 31b. Further, the cover plate 4 is equipped with a pair of leaf springs 41, 41. The contact points 31a, 31b are protruded from the concave part 20 to come in contact with connecting terminals 1a, 1b of the card 1.
