PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device having configuration in which vibration is reduced or prevented by moving two carriages in directions opposite to each other, the liquid jet device providing superior recording quality by uniformizing the load of motors that drives two carriage. SOLUTION: The liquid jet device is configured to move the first and second carriages 1A and 1B in the directions opposite to each other. When a distance La from the bend inversion section Ra of a first ink tube 3A to the first carriage 1A is the shortest, a distance Lb from the bend inversion section Rb of a second ink tube 3B to the second carriage 1B is the longest. Conversely when the distance La is the longest, the distance Lb is the shortest. This makes the resultant force of friction between the first carriage 1A and a first guide shaft 4A and friction between the second carriage 1B and a second guide shaft 4B constant regardless of the positions of the carriages.
