PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metadata managing device for improving quality in content data by eliminating a difference between a content editor and a dictionary editor. SOLUTION: A metadata management method includes: a step S1 in which a reception means receives metadata contents described according to a schema including restrictions on description of the contents defined in a dictionary via a content editor terminal; a step S2 in which an error detection means detects error contents from the received contents without satisfying the restrictions on description of the contents defined in the dictionary; and a step S5 in which a proposal presenting means presents a dictionary improvement proposal for proposing improvement in the dictionary created from error contents detected from the contents to the dictionary editor terminal, based on a dictionary improvement rule including rules for improving the dictionary according to the error pattern of the description of the contents.
