PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiglare film which is provided in front of a screen used for a display such as a liquid crystal display, a cathode ray tube display and a plasma display panel and which can form another functional layer such as an internal scattering layer while preventing reflection of outdoor daylight. SOLUTION: The antiglare film is provided with an antiglare layer including a surface rugged layer having a rugged surface at one surface side of a transparent base material film. The surface rugged layer has a major axis of 1.0 to 20μm, a minor axis of 0.5 to 10μm and a ratio of major axis /minor axis (an aspect ratio) is >1.0 and≤5.0 and flat translucent particulates are contained therein. Film thickness of a convex part in a rugged shape of the surface rugged layer is (the minor axis of the translucent particulate +5μm) or less, film thickness difference between a convex part and a concave part in the antiglare layer (film thickness of the convex part - film thickness of the concave part) is 5μm or less and a distance between adjoining concave parts is 3 to 50μm.
