A Meta data generation method for intuitive image search is provided to exact and fast search for an image matches a user demand by producing Meta data which supports a user to perform an instinctive image search. An image search server receives image data from an image input device connected through a data network or from an image database server which is storing image, and registers and stores the image data(S100). The image search server extracts descriptive data of the image file from the image data(S110). By using the extracted image file characteristic information, the image search server produces the texture information of file. The image search server analyzes the content of image of inputted image data(S120). By using the analyzed content of image, the image search server produces with Meta data(S130). The image search server stores generated data, and serves the image file and Meta data be indexed and makes the data searchable for users.
