<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft for heating food or drink with steam capable of simply and easily cooking the same in a short time without burden to pour boiling water when eating an instant food and a container containing an instant food having a water pack. <P>SOLUTION: In the shaft for heating food or drink with steam constituted of a grip 1 having a steam discharging shaft 2 and a cord 3, the steam discharging shaft 2 is constituted of a sharpened tip portion 6 and a cylindrical body 21 having a plurality of steam discharging ports 5 on the periphery of the same, a heating element 9 in the sealed tube 8 is arranged in the cylindrical body 21, and a heating button 4 is arranged in the grip 1. The steam discharging shaft 2 is constituted so as to be able to put in and out of the grip 1.
