PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the control cost of a ship by performing efficient maintenance of the equipment in the ship.

SOLUTION: A method for maintenance of the equipment in a ship comprises a step of acquiring the detection value on the characteristic of the equipment from a sensor 110 attached to the equipment of the ship under navigation, a step of predicting whether or not the detection value reaches the predetermined threshold for requiring the change of the equipment based on the fluctuation of the detection value, a step of selecting a port of entry before the detection value reaches the predetermined threshold based on information on the navigation of the ship if it is predicated that the detection value reaches the predetermined threshold, and a step for performing the maintenance of the equipment with the sensor attached thereto when the ship enters the selected port.
