PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast reception device that enables suitable rating settings to be made in a rating table setting picture. SOLUTION: The broadcast reception device having a broadcast reception unit, a recording unit where a rating table is recorded, an OSD processing unit, and a V-Chip includes a table setting unit which changes contents of the rating table on receiving a view limitation indication. The rating table includes an item-classified table wherein view limitation items are set by the item and a level-classified table wherein other view limitation items are set together by setting one view limitation item. When receiving a display indication for the item-classified table, the table setting unit provides OSD display wherein respective view limitation items that the item-classified table contains are laterally arranged. When receiving a display indication for the level-classified table, the table setting unit provides OSD display wherein respective view limitation items that the level-classified table contains are longitudinally arranged.
