PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional surface-emitting laser array that allows more elements to be arranged in a further small area, that can be downsized, and that can increase resolution and speed. SOLUTION: The two-dimensional surface-emitting laser array is composed by two-dimensionally arranging surface-emitting laser elements formed into multiple elements in m rows and n columns (wherein m is an integer of≤2; and n is an integer of≥3) in a reduced area in order to downsize the array, and is structured such that intervals between mesas for arranging electric wires for individual drive of the surface-emitting laser elements are allocated to increase intervals in the m-row direction in accordance with the number of electric wires made to pass through areas between the mesas.
