PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recoding/reproducing device which is provided with a plurality of lightings capable of performing a divided lighting for displaying the reproducing position, video recording residual quantity or the like of a recording medium, and in which a user can easily and visually confirm the reproducing position, video recording residual quantity or the like on the basis of lighting contents of these lightings. SOLUTION: The video recoding/reproducing device comprises: a content recording/reproducing part; a display part in which a plurality of lighting units are arranged in a linear shape; a lighting signal output part which can lighten by lighting signal every lighting unit; a recording/reproducing information obtaining part obtaining recording/reproducing information being information on the recording/reproducing of the content recording/reproducing part; and a first control part controlling the lighting signal output part so that a ratio of a part to a whole lighting unit can be discriminated in accordance with the obtained recording/reproducing information. Also, the video recoding/reproducing device comprises a second control part, which controls the lighting signal output part so that time information out of recording/reproducing information is expressed by controlling lighting by allotting an equal time to all lighting units, instead of the first control part.
