PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new household pressure cooker with a mechanism assisting specific users to allay a fear. SOLUTION: The household pressure cooker 1 comprises at least a pot 2, a lid 3 designed to be added to the pot, and a means to lock and unlock the lid 3. In the pressure cooker 1, a locking and unlocking means has at least one lock opening portion fitted through the wall of the pot 2, and a pin provided with a movable mounting portion between the locking position and the unlocking portion on the lid 3. The pin engages in the lock opening portion at the locking position, and the pin is not locked in the lock opening portion at the unlocking position.
