A method for preventing generation of manganese oxide in a backwashing process of a membrane filtration water purifying process is provided to improve transmission performance of a film and to prevent contamination of the film by minimizing generation of the manganese oxide. A method for preventing generation of manganese oxide in a backwashing process of a membrane filtration water purifying process includes a first backwashing process step and a second backwashing process step. The first backwashing process step is implemented by performing the backwashing process including sodium hypochlorite in backwashing water. The second backwashing process step is implemented by performing the process without the sodium hypochlorite in backwashing water.
