摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite material having a low thermal expansion coefficient while having excellent thermal conductivity, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the high thermal conductivity graphite material comprises: a kneading stage where a binder is added to the one obtained by pulverizing coal pitch-based mosaic coke in which spherical crystals composing the structure are large and whose needle ratio is low, so as to be the average grain size of 13 to 20 &mu;m, and kneading is performed; a repulverizing stage; a molding stage; a firing stage; an impregnating stage; a refiring stage; a graphitizing stage; and a stage where, after the graphitizing stage, an impregnating stage, a firing stage and a graphitizing stage are repeated. Further, the high thermal conductivity graphite material is obtained by the above production method, and in which bulk density is &ge;1.85 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, thermal conductivity in the respective directions of X, Y, Z directions is &ge;170 W/m K and a thermal expansion coefficient is &le;5.5&times;10<SP>-6</SP>/K, and which is isotropic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
