PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head substrate, with which consuming power is suppressed and high quality stable recording can be possible. SOLUTION: The following constitution is added to the head substrate, on which a plurality of electrothermic transducing elements and a plurality of switching elements for driving a plurality of the electrothermic transducing elements and a logic circuit for driving a plurality of the switching elements. A plurality of level transducing circuits, each of which applies a voltage obtained by boosting the logic voltage corresponding to each of a plurality of the switching elements.
